Right around this time of year, my family starts asking me what I want for Christmas.
What about the rest of you? Is this a thing that happens for you too?
I feel everyone starts asking for their Santa wish list right before all the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. And since that is coming up here soon, I thought why not just share what I have on my list with you all.
I want to make note that I don’t have any sponsorships, affiliations or any other kind of support from any of these brands/ companies. This is all just my opinion based on my research and what I found out on reviews.
Here are my Top 5 Items I would love to get this year from the big man himself:
1. Redshift Suspension Seat Post
I have been eyeballing this product for a while now. Why? Because it will make my butt happy and my rides smoother. My hope is that it will make for a more comfortable ride on longer distances. Plus from what I gathered it has great reviews. https://redshiftsports.com/products/shockstop-suspension-seatpost
2. Salsa Anything Cage
Ok, I have to admit I already have one of these and I love it. I use it to carry extra water with me on my longer rides. I have yet to use it for any time of long-distance overnight ride but I don’t have any worries that it would hold up. The reason why this is on my list this year is that I would like to get a second one to balance out my other one. I love the versatility of this product and have not had any issues with it coming loose or things falling off. If you don’t have one of these you should get one! https://salsacycles.com/components/category/racks/anything_cage_hd
3. Velorosa Cycling Kit
I have been following this brand for a while now and love the styles they put out for their cycling kits. I personally love the Prism Queen design. Although I have been a fan of theirs for a while I have yet to own anything of theirs. But what I have heard about their products has always been good. Hopefully, I can snag up a kit here soon. So, if you’re looking for something a bit more unique as far as style goes, this brand is one I would look into. Plus it’s Iowa-based so I am all for supporting local. https://velorosacycling.com/
4. Elevenpine Cycling Shorts
I have been wanting a pair of these ever since I saw Ryan Duzer do a video on them. If you don’t know who Ryan Duzer is you should look him up on YouTube. These shorts are made in Colorado and have the versatility to be form-fitted to your body or loose in casual all-in-one shorts. How cool is that? I love things that have a multipurpose. I think that makes them the perfect shorts for any ride. https://www.elevenpine.com/
5. Wahoo Element Roam Bicycle Computer
Right now I currently use my phone as my bike computer which tends to work out alright for most rides. The only downside is it eats my battery so I have to be careful to have a full charge if I plan to go out for longer rides. What would be better is having a bike computer so I can save my phone’s battery in case of emergencies. That’s why I have been dreaming of owning a Wahoo Element Roam. I have many friends who have Wahoo’s and they love them. So I don’t have any qualms about it not being a great product, my issue is it’s a big investment but I believe it’s worth it if you can afford it and it’s actually in stock.
The feature on this that I think I will like the most is the back-on-track routing. There have been a few times when I have gone off course and had to reroute myself back on track. It would be nice to not have to do that and have the device do it on its own. https://www.wahoofitness.com/devices/bike-computers/gps-elemnt-roam
